Home Physiotherapy Across Every District of Phuket

PIMOTION travels to clients throughout Phuket Province for approximately 60-minute visits with a licensed physical therapist. This page sets out the areas actually covered, how a visit runs, and what to prepare beforehand.

Who home visits suit

Travelling to an appointment is the barrier for many families: older adults who struggle getting in and out of a car, people recovering after surgery, and anyone whose pain limits how far they can move. A home visit removes that journey entirely.

Training in your own home has a further advantage. The stairs, bathroom, bed and chair used every day are the equipment, so advice is adapted to the real space rather than a generic setting.

Family members and carers can watch and take part, which keeps the care between appointments consistent with the plan.

How a home visit works

Every case begins with an individual assessment. No two clients receive the same off-the-shelf programme.

Booking and initial questions

Describe the symptoms, your area and a convenient time by phone. Appointments are taken every day, 24 hours, with at least one hour's notice.

First-visit assessment at home

History taking, plus examination of movement, strength and balance, together with the parts of your home that relate to your goals.

Planning and shared goal setting

Findings are explained, the approach is set out, and measurable goals are agreed with you and your family.

Treatment session and home programme

Around 60 minutes of guided work to the plan, followed by exercises you can continue on your own between visits.

Review and adjustment

Progress is reassessed at the next appointment and the exercises are adjusted according to what has actually changed.

Common questions about home visits

What space do I need to prepare?

A clear, level area of roughly 2x2 metres, one stable chair and adequate lighting. If you have a bed or handrail you use regularly, the therapist will use those real fixtures as part of the session.

Is there an extra travel charge?

No. Travel within Phuket Province is included in the visit fee, with no surcharge for any of the areas listed above.

How far ahead should I book?

Appointments are taken every day, 24 hours, with at least one hour's notice so the therapist can plan the journey and bring the right equipment.

Do I need a referral from a doctor?

Not for an initial assessment. If you do have test results, imaging or instructions from a doctor, please have them available, as they help shape a plan that respects any existing restrictions.
